Gruyères - the home of cheese and aliens
Gruyères Castle towers above the small town and is definitely worth a visit
The picturesque town of Gruyères dates back to the Middle Ages. With its cobblestones, the traffic-free town invites you to take a leisurely stroll. The town gave its name to the region and its delicious cheese, Gruyère AOP. For dessert, we visit the Cailler chocolate factory in the afternoon.
Our tip:
A visit to Gruyères Castle, which offers a fascinating multimedia show and is home to the museum of the Alien creator H.R. Giger.
