After a walk through Biel/Bienne's city center, you will reach the beautiful old town, which was founded between 1220 and 1230. The northern city wall, the Obergasse and Untergasse, the castle and the Burggase, the "Ring-Platz" and the Untergässli are all reminders of this period. The old town is largely traffic-free and has been experiencing a revival in recent years. The ideal place to store, linger and enjoy an aperitif.
Our tip: Stroll through the romantic alleyways and take a look at the numerous attractive little stores, cafés or one of the fine restaurants.
