From the atelier oï in La Neuveville, the view glistens over the lake of Bienne, the Seeland, the Trois-Lacs region and, in toile de fonds, the Alps with their silhouette almost unreal in time. Since these premises, which used to look like a motel, some 40 creative minds have been developing design, architecture and art projects for clients from all over the world. They are currently engaged in an extraordinary project on their doorstep: the Attila Boutique Boatel.
" We have been researching for about an hour to find out if we are interested in this project. Indeed, we are! It's a great idea, a very interesting and atypical project," says Aurel Aebi, co-founder of Atelier Oï. "Quelque chose de nouveau is créé à partir de quelque chose d'existant. " The fact that one of the three founders and owners of the Atelier Oï originally trained as a naval architect and boat builder also played a role in Attila's favor.

It is a matter of public record that no one is a protagonist in his own country; this is also the experience gained by the Oï studio. Its architects, designers and artists knew Hayek père very well and have realized a large number of projects for the Swatch Group; and yet, their greatest successes and the most important works have generally taken place far from Seeland and Switzerland. They are stars in their own right: the Atelier Oï has realized projects in 42 countries, with tremendous success. " Now, it's time to spend a little of our happiness. It's passionate to work for the biggest brands in the world, but it's often a world of apparitions. And the older I get, the more I feel the desire to work here, in the region. Attila is the best example. A lot of people have put their heart and soul into this project. It's quite simply fascinating. "
With passion and conviction, they have been brainstorming, planning and developing this project. They are inspired, among other things, by the view from their office, and this is not just a hasard. " We have a view of the lake from La Neuveville. Just like the guests of l'Attila, who enjoy unforgettable visual moments from the sunset. The different horizons that appear, the light, the reflection on the water and the effect of depth are the themes that we want to propose on this boat. An experience that will awaken all senses. Also in terms of materials: for example, we have more than 20,000 different types of materials in the office, but only those that are perfectly suited to the Attila is mounted on board. "

Design pratique

On the contrary, the interior design and its relaxed design do nothing to enhance the enjoyment. " As one said, we play with light. The external perception is reflected in the interior. The horizons of light give the scene different atmospheres. To ensure that the water remains visible both in the evening and at night, without reflections, we have chosen indirect and differentiated lighting. It is important to be able to perceive the space, the atmosphere of the lake is present in the cabin. "
This makes you want to inspect a cabin even more quickly. In addition to the lighting plans, the studio has also thought through every detail of the interior design. The cabins are not large, but they offer the guests all the expected amenities. " It's a great challenge, an interesting challenge. The size of the cabins is limited, but our customers don't want to miss out on anything. We have therefore developed elegant and elegant solutions for the placement of double or simple beds, for the range spaces and also for the salon areas with a view over the water. Every centimeter is used in the best possible way to offer guests a pleasant moment. " Les plans ne sont pas encore achevés. The design of the Captain's Lounge and the coque du bateau in particular is in progress. " There too, we are adopting this philosophy, which consists of making the elements interact with the environment, creating harmony, while remaining practical. So that the guests can enjoy their balconies. And for the Captain's Lounge to be able to accommodate both refined petits-déjeuners and sophisticated aperitifs or business meetings. I repeat: it's a fascinating project. "
